12 Schromberg House - Vincent Street - SW1P 4BL
Just beside Big Ben and along the River Thames, you’ll find the impressive Houses of Parliament, officially called the Palace of Westminster. It looks like something out of a fairytale — all towers, spires, and Gothic drama. But it’s also where some of the biggest decisions in the UK are made! This is the home of British politics, where Members of Parliament (MPs) meet to debate and pass laws.
Even if politics isn’t really your thing, the building itself is stunning and totally worth seeing up close. You can even visit the inside when Parliament isn’t in session — there are guided tours where you get to see historic rooms like the House of Commons, the House of Lords, and the incredible Westminster Hall, which dates all the way back to 1097!
Make sure to walk along the Thames to take it all in — the view of the Palace from across the river is one of the best in London. And at night, when it’s all lit up, it’s absolutely magical. Whether you’re snapping photos or just admiring the architecture, the Houses of Parliament are a must-see part of any London adventure.
